How to play in the game against the GM:
1. Register on the Olympiad website (You can also register and submit moves
after the game has started)
2. Wait to receive your password by email; your ID is the email address you indicated when you registered
3. Enter the game in PlayArea/play on line
4. After the GM’s first move which marks the beginning of the game:
- Check out the GM’s 1st move at 12.00 p.m. CET Thursday in the banner space of the Play Area on the Homepage, and look at the diagram of the position;
- Send in your own move by entering your ID and password and the move (in the notation specified below) by 12.00 p.m. CET on Saturday;;
- Check out the GM’s move at 12.00 p.m. CET on Monday;;
- Send in your next move by 12.00 p.m. CET on Wednesday.
THE MOST FREQUENTLY PROPOSED MOVE WILL BE THE WORLD'S MOVE
NB: Your move should be entered in the move field as follows: starting square and arrival square of the piece separated by a hyphen, e.g.: e2-e4 e7-e5 g1-f3 b8-c6 f1-c4 g8-f6 0-0. Castling notation is 0-0/0-0-0.
