Chess and technology
Today, computing is the technological medium most closely associated with the game of chess, a medium which influences both the general public and scientific research.
During the Olympiad, Turin will host the World Computer Chess Championship, the Computer Strategy Game Olympiad and the 2006 Computer Games Conference. Given that this sector has always involved cutting-edge technology, previous editions of these events have received worldwide coverage in the international and university press.
